GridOto.com - Pembalap Movistar Yamaha, Valentino Rossi, mendapat hadiah spesial setelah hari pertama MotoGP Argentina hari Jumat kemarin(6/4).

Sosok Valentino Rossi diabadikan dalam bentuk patung di depan sirkuit Termas de Rio Hondo.

Dalam peresmiannya, Valentino Rossi hadir langsung.

Selain itu, ada beberapa tokoh penting di MotoGP.

Misalnya CEO Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpelata serta gubernur setempat, Gerardo Zamora.

Patung tersebut berbentuk aksi The Doctor di atas motor YZR-M1.

Patung ini dibuat oleh Joaquin Arbize, pemahat kondang asal Uruguay.

Patung itu berbobot 320 kg terbuat dari lebih dari 9 ribu potongan logam dan 30 ribu sambungan solder.

Yang istimewa, logam itu dari bagian pintu dan bumper mobil klasik tahun 1950.

Ada 4500 baut yang disolder oleh sang pembuat patung.

Patung itu dibuat sebagai penghargaan untuk Valentino Rossi.
